Privacy Policy

Last updated October 16, 2026

This policy covers effctiv.com and the client portal at portal.effctiv.com: what we collect, why, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. "Effctiv", "we" and "us" mean Pull Different Technologies LLC, doing business as Effctiv Studio.

The short version

  • The website uses no analytics, no ad trackers and no cookies.
  • We collect what you choose to send us, and what we need to run your project in the portal.
  • We never sell your information or share it for advertising.
  • A short list of service providers helps us run things, and they may use it only to do that work for us.
  • Ask us any time to see, correct, export or delete your information at hello@effctiv.com.

1What we collect

When you visit effctiv.com

Nothing about you, until you write to us. The site has no analytics, no ad pixels and no cookies.

Two small notes are kept in your browser for the length of your visit (session storage). One shortens the opening animation once you have seen it. The other remembers campaign tags in the address you arrived from, such as utm_source, so they can travel with your brief. Both are cleared when you close the tab.

The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts and its animation code from jsDelivr, so those services see your IP address and browser, as with any site that loads files from them. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser and the pages requested) for security and reliability.

When you send us a project brief

We receive what you enter: your name, business, email, what you need, your revenue range, your timeline and any note. With it come the plan you picked, the Leak Finder numbers if you used it, the address of the page you sent it from, and any campaign or referral code. If sending fails, the site shows your brief so you can email it to us instead.

When you use the client portal

  • Your account: your name and email, and if you add them, a phone number, photo and time zone. Your theme and notification choices.
  • Sign in and security: how and when you signed in, and from which IP address and device. For passkeys we keep only the public key. A password, if you set one, is stored only in scrambled form. If you turn on an authenticator app, its secret is encrypted. Security events, such as sign ins and account changes, go into an audit log.
  • Project content: what you and your team add, including answers to intake questions (typed, recorded, or read from documents you upload), files, messages, approvals and feedback, inspiration, meeting recordings, transcripts and notes, reports, and logins you store in the vault for us to use.
  • Agreements: proposals, agreements and electronic signatures. When you sign, we record your name, email, the consent you gave, when you agreed and signed, your IP address, your device and browser, your signature, and a fingerprint of the exact text you signed. These details appear on the signing certificate attached to the agreement.
  • Payments: invoices and payment records. Card and bank details go straight to Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers, only the card brand and last four digits.
  • Referrals and testimonials: if you refer someone, their name and email. If you write a testimonial, its text and whether we may publish it.

2How we use it

  • To answer your inquiry and prepare your audit and quote.
  • To run your project: share work, collect approvals, keep the timeline honest, and send the notifications you choose.
  • To prepare, sign and keep agreements, invoices and receipts, and to take payments.
  • To keep accounts safe: sign you in, spot misuse and look into problems.
  • To get better at what we do, from what we learn running projects. Never by selling your information or building advertising profiles.
  • To meet legal duties, such as keeping tax records.

As your agreement says, we may show finished work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to. We never publish what you share privately in the portal, and we publish a testimonial only if you say we may.

3AI features

Some portal features use AI to save time: drafting a reply or a report for our team, summarizing a meeting, turning a voice answer or a recording into text, and reading a document you upload to help fill in your intake answers. These features send the content involved to Anthropic (Claude) or Deepgram (transcription), which process it for us.

Someone on our team reviews what AI drafts before it reaches you. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not allow our AI providers to train theirs on it.

4Cookies and browser storage

effctiv.com sets no cookies. The portal sets three, all needed for it to work:

__Host-ef_session
Keeps you signed in. Lasts 30 days.
ef_wa
Checks a passkey sign in. Lasts 5 minutes.
ef_theme
Remembers Day, Night or Auto. Lasts a year.

The portal also keeps drafts and view settings in your browser, so an unsent message or a half finished answer is not lost, and saves an offline page so the app opens without a connection. If you allow notifications, your browser's push service delivers them. Neither site uses advertising or tracking cookies.

5Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We share it only in these ways.

With your team

People your company's account owner invites see the project content their role allows. Proposals and agreements are visible to everyone on your team. Invoices are visible only to the account owner.

With the service providers that help us run things

Vercel
Hosts both sites in the United States. Handles everything sent through them, and keeps server logs.
Supabase
Our database and file storage, in the United States. Holds the portal's data.
Resend
Sends our email: your address and the message.
Google Workspace
Our inbox: emails you send us.
Stripe
Takes payments: your name, email, the invoice details, and the card or bank details you enter.
Anthropic
AI drafting and document reading: the content a feature works on.
Deepgram
Transcription: voice answers and meeting recordings.
Twilio
Text reminders, if you turn them on: your phone number and the text.
Google
Website audits (PageSpeed Insights and Places): your website address and business name. Fonts on effctiv.com: your IP address.
jsDelivr
Delivers code for effctiv.com: your IP address.
Jitsi Meet (8x8)
Video meeting rooms we link to: what you share in the meeting, under Jitsi's terms.
PandaDoc or DocuSign
Only if an agreement is sent for signature through them: the agreement and the signers' names and emails.

Some of these run only when that feature is in use. We will update this list when we add or change a provider.

When the law requires it

We disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our clients, our team or the public.

If the business changes hands

If Effctiv is merged or sold, your information may move with it, and this policy will still apply to it.

6Text messages

We text you only if you turn texts on in the portal's Notifications settings and add a mobile number. Today we text only to remind you when something we need from you is overdue. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts or HELP for help, or turn texts off in Notifications at any time. We do not share your mobile number or your consent to receive texts with anyone for their marketing.

7How long we keep it

  • Inquiries: while we might still work together. Ask, and we delete yours.
  • Portal accounts and project content: while your account or project is active, and afterward so you and we can find past work, unless you ask us to delete it. When a client workspace is deleted, its content and files are erased 30 days later.
  • Agreements, invoices and payment records: at least seven years, for tax and legal reasons, even after a deletion request.
  • Security records: as long as they help keep accounts safe.
  • Backups: deleted information can stay in our backups for a short time until they roll over.

8How we protect it

Every connection is encrypted. Logins you store in the vault are encrypted with a separate key for each one, and revealing one needs a fresh check that it is you and leaves a record you can see. Passwords are kept only in scrambled form, and passkeys and two step sign in are available. Each client's information is walled off from every other client's inside the database itself.

No system is perfect. If something happens that affects your information, we will tell you promptly and explain what we are doing about it.

9Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, give you a copy in a common format, delete it, or stop a particular use, such as texts or optional notifications. Email hello@effctiv.com from the address on your account, or tell us how else to confirm it is you. We will reply within 30 days.

Some laws, for example in California, other US states, the UK and the EU, give you these rights formally. We offer them to everyone. If we cannot do all of what you ask, for example because we must keep invoice records, we will tell you why.

You can change your profile, notifications and texts yourself in the portal under Settings. If you are on a client's team, your company's account owner controls your access to its workspace, and we work with them on requests that affect shared project content. If you are unhappy with how we handled something, tell us first. You can also contact your local data protection authority.

10Where it is stored

In the United States: our hosting runs in Vercel's Washington, D.C. region and our database in Supabase's US East region. If you use our sites from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and handled in the United States.

11Children

Our services are for businesses and are not meant for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

12Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change matters, we tell portal users by email or in the portal before it takes effect.
